Dear Women’s Board Associates and Supporters,
I am happy to report that our Summer Leadership Conference in Indianapolis was top notch! We had excellent speakers, a special panel on emotional intelligence, lots of quality networking and a wicked fun outing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
We announced two exciting pieces of news at the conference: we gave away over $60,000 in scholarships this year and we have successfully wrapped up the Women’s Board rebranding and will be unveiling our new name and logo at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) this November in Las Vegas, Nev. —you won’t want to miss it!
A big thank you to Bill Hanvey, president and CEO, Auto Care Association, for attending our executive board meeting and opening our conference with a “Fireside Chat.” It was a wonderful way to start the conference, as it created a positive buzz, which continued throughout the two days of high-value professional and personal development.
Vonda Lee, winner of the 2015 Auto Care Woman of Excellence, received high reviews for sharing her time, experience and knowledge about her career in the industry. Everyone was inspired and learned a lot!
Save the date for our reception and press conference on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at AAPEX in Las Vegas. It is THE Women’s Networking Event at AAPEX and a great place to bring potential members, show your company the value of being a sponsor and, of course, congratulate the winners of the 2016 Automotive Communications Awards and Women of the Year awards.
We also want to thank our sponsors who continue to support the Women’s Board in our ever-evolving path to career education and leadership training.
Make sure you also save the date for our Winter Leadership Conference that will take place Feb. 15-16, 2017, in conjunction with the MACS Convention in sunny Anaheim, Calif.
In the meantime, stay connected with day-to-day updates and interesting news through our Facebook group.
All My Best,
Amy Mattinat, Auto Craftsmen Ltd.
Your Women’s Board President
